Self Distribute Your Film!

It is now more common than ever for filmmakers to self distribute their films and it's quickly becoming the norm. There are so many options out there thanks to the Internet that you really don't need the middle men or a traditional distributor anymore. I recently read a great blog post on the Frugal Filmmaker about this and he goes into more detail about the harsh reality of film distribution. Anyway, there are two books that I own and highly recommend if you're considering making a feature film and want to self distribute. They are Lloyd Kaufman's Sell Your Own Damn Movie! and Think Outside the Box Office by Jon Reiss.
